Trusting God has surrender in it. It may be difficult for some to turn everything over to Him; trust is self-denying. Trust is choice not for cowards; it takes courage to let go of my way of living and being in the world. There are always detours to trust that interpose themselves into our trying times; we are prone to fall back on all we know, our experiences and self-sufficiency. Trust Him fully; trust Him with everything. Trusting God is a part of loving Him. In love, hold on to Him with your whole being.
Father, forgive us of partial trust and may Your work deepen in us; we want to trust You wholeheartedly. Amen.
