We live lives too busy for our own good health.  Our culture and our devices keep us in their grip.  We are driven from one thing to another.  We don’t lay one thing down until we have already picked up something else.  Quietness and silence are hard to come by.  We are too busy to listen and too busy speaking to hear.  Both experience and research studies show that we all need quiet time and silence.  These times of thinking and meditating give us perspective and get us back on the right track.  Listen!  He speaks!

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9 (ESV)
