The  salesman  said,  “Anything  I have is for sell or trade”.   About products and merchandise, you would expect a  salesman to say that.  This morning I’ve been thinking about things not up for sale or trade in my life.

I will not trade the Kingdom of God for all this world has to offer.

I will not trade His cross for the world’s crown.

I will not  trade my inheritance in the Lord for a mess of pottage.

I will not trade covenant for convenience.

I will not trade pleasing God for pleasing men.

I will not trade the approval of my Lord for the approval of my peers.

I will not trade truth for political expediency.

I will not trade integrity and character for acceptance and popularity.

I will not trade honor for approval and accolades.

I will not trade total commitment to the Lord for half-hearted nominal Christianity.

I will not trade assurance and security in Him for self-sufficiency.

I will not trade time for eternity.

I will not trade servanthood for being served, nor being last for being first.

I will not trade the church at its worse for the world at its best.

I will not trade the Water of Life to drink out of the mud puddles of this decaying culture.

I will not trade the Bread of Life for Satan’s buffet.

By the grace of God may it ever be so.
