The Spirit does not need to investigate you. He who knows the deep things of God knows the deep things of you. He searches you in order to show you what needs to be cleansed, set aside or renewed. He may surprise us about what He shows us, but He is never surprised. He knew it was there all along and has been waiting for the moment of readiness to deal with it. The Spirit is at work to give you a more intimate and unhindered connection to the Father and the Son.
Spirit of God, You know us better than we know ourselves. Thank you for your patience and grace in this work of transformation you are doing in our lives! Amen!
