“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature” Hebrews 1:3 (ESV).  Through Christ, we have become partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4).  We are to be conformed to His image. (Romans 8:29).  We are being changed into His likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18).  The more we look at Jesus, the more we live with Him, the more we walk with Him, the more He is imprinted on us, the more He is restoring us to His image, and thus to the likeness of God.

“O to be like Thee, blessed Redeemer- this is my constant longing and prayer.

“Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures, Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

“O to be like Thee!O to be like Thee, Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art!

“Come in Thy sweetness; come in Thy fullness.

“Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.” -Thomas O. Chisholm
