“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my help and my God” (Psalm 42:5-6a NRSV). Sometimes we ask ourselves, “WHY?”, but no answer comes. Sometimes we may know the source of the pain and sometimes we may never know, but in our darkness and pain we turn to the Lord. We believe something; we trust Someone beyond our pain. We know He is our Helper; therefore, we praise Him.
