Stoics do not cry.  Men do not cry.  Big boys do not cry.  Big girls do not cry.  But they do!  They all do!  If they do not, they should.  Do not repress or deny your pain.  Do not keep back that release.  Relearn how to cry.  Let the healing begin.  Let your tenderness be restored.  Tears can release something deep within.  Tears can be nonverbal prayers.  It may surprise you when tears break a chain and bring you to a new washed place.

“I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.” Psalm 6:6 (NRSV)
