The NT epistles often call on us to discover who we are and what we already have as citizens of Messiah’s kingdom.  We are reminded that we died and rose with Him and are now seated in the heavenly realm with Him; we are joint heirs.  Wow!  We are still discovering what that means.  Without these realizations we get stuck in a place of living below our privileges which God intends for us.  Sometimes we must discover what we already have in order to receive it.

“And if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.” Romans 8:17 (NASB)
