There is a brazen discrepancy between the love we profess and the one we practice.  This disparity indicts our authenticity; this dissonance mocks our testimony.  We profess a love for our church brothers and sisters and deny it for outsiders, political and tribal opponents.  Demonizing another is not a manifestation of love; rejoicing in another’s downfall shows our own soul sickness.  Our spiritual health flees in this disharmony.  Love does not snarl; it does not snap and growl.  It does not lash out.  Jesus commands that we pray for our enemies so that our own soul will not be poisoned by demonizing another.  Nothing shows loves disparity than how we talk about others.  We will be judged by how we love.  Our love says that we are born of God or that we are not.  There is no other proof.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 John 4:7–8 ESV)
