Man looks on the outside; God looks on the heart.  Why do we keep looking and judging by the outside?  Why do we keep lifting up those who look a certain way and putting down folks that don’t measure up?  It is usually covert and not overt.  This judging is damaging to us and them. Why do we get down on ourselves because we can’t always feel that our looks measure up?   It is ungodly, simply because God has another way of looking at all of us.  Though we can’t see each other’s heart, we can value all people for their divine image value and not for some select appearance reason.

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”  (1 Samuel 16:7b)
