There are no shortcuts in the spiritual life. There are no tricks of the trade. All that we think we know must become a humble unknowing before we can advance spiritually. We would all like to be more than a novice, more than a rookie, but we are not. There are no big leagues, only minors. We are children. The kingdom is made up of such. Seek no formulas; only seek Him. Seek Him for who He is and not what you want Him to give you.
Father, we come to You as Your child, teach us Your way moment by moment. Amen!
