There are multiple kingdom snapshots in the Bible.  I would like to share with you a few of them in this devotional series.

The Plow

“No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62 NKJV).  Contemporary Christians have never fully heard the political overtones of Jesus’ message of the “good news of the kingdom of God”.  Following Jesus meant that one began to plow for another kind of kingdom.  To ever look back from that to the political promises of the kingdoms of this world disqualified one from being fit for God’s rule.  Think about that!  This is about supreme allegiance; it is about pursuing another way of living in relationship to the kingdoms of men.
