The wise men came enquiring, “Where is he who is born King of the Jews” (Mt 2:2). Herod sought to kill Him because of the title. Pilate asked Him if He was the “King of the Jews” (Mt 27:11). The title was used to mock Him (Mt 27:29). It was placed as a placard over the cross (Mt 27:37). The coming of the Gentile Magi recognized His kingship and foresaw the time when every knee will bow and every ethnic tongue will confess (Rom 14:11) this King of the Jews as their King also. Peace on earth!
