We live with invisible and unexamined assumptions about other ethnic groups.  We have often been shaped by these cultural streams to act against what we may never would have consciously done.  The solution is to examine old assumptions and even prejudices that shaped us in unwitting ways.  I have done that; I am doing that.  My old assumptions, attitudes and inactions have made me weep.  It is an uncomfortable and saving exercise; it is the Christian thing to do.  Our spiritual formation is not complete without it; our journey toward Christlikeness finds it a necessity.

“Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him” Acts 10:34b-35 (ESV).
