Our King is humble.  The Humble One was born in a stable and laid in a manger.  He grew up in a peasant family.  His triumphant entry was on a donkey.  He humbly awaits admission to anyone who will open the door (Rev 3:20).  He came incognito into the world He made (Jn 1:10).  Moses was humble (Nu 12:3), but Jesus embodied humility.  His Kingdom citizens have rejected exalting themselves and chosen the path of humility.  How can we walk in pride in the face of our Humble King?

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9 (NASB)
