Connecting Advent and Holiness

When God made everything, He declared His creation good.  When His Son became flesh it was a reaffirmation that the tangible creation was still good, in that the Son became a part of it; Jesus’ flesh testifies to it.  His advent was meant, not only to take creation back, but to set in motion new creation. His resurrected body was a new creation body like nothing that had ever been seen before in the history of the planet.  His body is a prototype of the body we will receive.  His resurrection is the promise of our resurrection; it is further the promise that He is going to make all things new in His glorious second advent.

“He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.” (Philippians 3:21 NLT)
