Advent Glimpses of our Future
God has desired to dwell with man since Eden. By our sins, we have kept putting distance between us and Him. Redemption has come in Jesus Messiah. He has washed our sins away by His own blood. He has given us His very Spirit to live inside us. He wants us really close to Him. He replaced the temple, the meeting place of God and man, with His own body. He is our Temple. We will need no other on that day; He who dwells with us now will dwell with us in a closeness which we can only imagine.
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.” Revelation 21:3 (ESV)
