Moses prayed, “Show me your glory” (Ex 33:18). He learns that seeing the face of the Lord and the fullness of His glory is something that humans cannot fully experience.  Since God is so great, and we are so finite, He shows us Himself in glimpses of glory.  We behold His glory in His Son (Jn 1:14).  We do not see the glory as sightseers see a sight on their bucket list.  It is life transforming!  It reaches to the core of who we are.  In seeing the glory we are transformed by the Spirit (I Cor 3:18).  Seek the Lord, and let Him reveal what He will.

But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!”  Then the LORD said, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.  Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.” Exodus 33:20-23 (NASB)
