Feelings intensify with focus.  The more you think about how lonely you are, the more lonely you will become.  This is also true of multiple other feelings.  To dwell on them escalates them.  Someone has said, “We need to feel our feelings and move on.”  This is not always easy, but it is always necessary.  Without it we become bogged down in a quagmire that takes us out of productive living.  Focus your life on following Christ.  Get up.  Take up your pallet and walk.  You have spent enough time paralyzed by the pool.

“Jesus said to him, ‘Get up, pick up your pallet and walk.’  Immediately the man became well, and picked up his pallet and began to walk. Now it was the Sabbath on that day.” John 5:8-9 (NASB)
