“Faith works by love” (Galatians 5:6). The Great Commandment is to love God with our whole being and our neighbor as ourselves. This love for God is the driving force of our faith in God. If I truly love Him I will completely trust Him. Faith is holding on, in love, to our trustworthy Father and not letting go because we love Him; and we know, He loves us. “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6); without loving God we can never please Him either. The Father wants from us a trust, a faith, that is joined to love. Nothing pleases Him more than children who love Him so much that their whole lives are built on faith in Him.
