We must listen to our own souls.  Inside of us is a deep hunger for prayer intimacy with God.  It longs to be alone in conversation with Him.  It longs to pray with others.  Nothing will satisfy this hunger like times alone talking with Him.  Stop ignoring the hunger.  Stop shoving junk food toward it.  The soul is hungry for its Father.  It longs for Him like a baby longs for its mother’s breast.  It longs for Him like lovers long for each other.  Only God can fill this life-long hunger.  Fixes will not fix it.  He can.  He wants to.  He is waiting for your longing to meet His longing.  This is where hunger is satisfied.  Listen to your own soul.  Discover this hunger.

“As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God” Psalm 42:1-2a (NASB).
