(Connecting Advent and Holiness)
At His first advent He descended to us. When His mission was complete He ascended to His Father. At the end of our earthly lives We ascend to Him. At His second advent we will descend with Him. He descended to gather a people and make them holy; they are called saints (holy-ones). He is coming for them. “Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection” (Revelation 20:6a). The action and process of sanctification is readying us for His glorious second advent. So run after it (Hebrews 12:14). He will descend with all of His holy-ones.
