We need a Bible in our hands so that we can get the Word into our hearts. We need a road map for this journey that guides us away from pitfalls, dead end streets, and roads to no where. We need The Book that will show us the vast planes of love, grace and peace. We need to be taught to climb the peaks of joy, revelation, and glory. We desperately need its stories to guide our story. We walk with our Lord in this Book, and find that He steps out of the pages to walk with us. We need the written word before our eyes and the Living Word as resident in our inner being.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17, NASB).
