Oh my precious Lord, where did you get these wounds? “I was wounded in the house of my friends” (Zechariah 13:6). It is still so. We wound Him when we claim to be His: and reject His peace to live in hostility to each other. We lay lashes on His back when we claim Him while name calling those who disagree with us instead of loving all people. We strike blows to His face when we make Him the servant of our tribe. We drive nails when our sectarianism causes us to rant about other members of the body of Christ. We hurt Him deeply when our nationalism has no vision of Him as the Universal and Cosmic Christ.
