“One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” Matt 4:4 (NRSV). Be thankful for words from God. They nourish our souls. We hear them in Scripture. We hear them in the whispers of the Spirit. We hear them speak in creation. There is Someone above and beyond us. He is speaking to us. His words are there, not just to be heard, but to live our lives by them.
