Observe the unflinching resolve with which Jesus marches toward His death. Think about the injustice of being crucified as another false messiah when in fact you are the real Messiah. Envy, jealousy, deceit, false witnesses and political expediency all conspired to put Him on a cross. He did not call for an army of angels. Without drama, complaint or protest, He voluntarily embraces the cross as the will of His Father and is glorified by it.
“He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth” Isaiah 53:7 (NASB).
