Nothing defines who we are more that what we want.  What we want can demonstrate our bondage or be an example of our freedom.  If we would pause and answer the question, “What do I really want?”, it could offer us an insight about ourselves on what drives and motivates us.  Our stated wants may not usually be the real ones.  A selfish self wants things a surrendered self has moved past.  May we want what God wants for us!

“Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth.  My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalms 73:25-26 (NASB)
