“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (NIV)
We will all be changed when Messiah returns. It is going to happen really fast for the living and the dead saints, “in the twinkling of an eye”, faster than you can bat your eye; in Greek “a twinkling of an eye” is an “atom of time”. In physics an “atom of time” refers to 1/1000 of a second. It takes 3/4’s of a second (750 atoms of time) for you to react to a child chasing a ball into the path of your car. 1/1000 of a second is really fast. Before anybody knows anybody is gone Christ will be here with all of His saints; it will be faster than a bolt of lighting. In that nanosecond we will be forever changed. Hope realized! Christ returned! Mind boggling! Get ready! Be ready! The change is going to happen really fast.
