We do not know in what manner our life may end, but we do know that we will meet our Lord at the end of the road. We do not know the tribulations that we will go through at the hands of wicked men, but we do know that He will not abandon us in the test. We do not know the depths to which commitment will take us, but we do know that He will use that like refining fire to make our metal pure. We do not know what this day holds, but we know that He is preparing us for “that day”. We do not know when our Lord will return, but we do know that He will, because He promised it.
“I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.” 2 Timothy 1:12b (ESV)
