“Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (I Cor 3:16). The indwelling Spirit, among other things, is about our being temples. We are temples in which God dwells as He dwelt in the tabernacle in the wilderness. We are temples in which prayers are offered, “without ceasing” (I Th 5:17). We are temples where heaven and earth, God and humans, meet. By being in-dwelt by the Spirit of God, we touch this world with the Life of Heaven. This is what Christians are to be for the world around us.
