Jesus is the Light of the world (John chapters 1 & 9). Paul was converted in the presence of that blinding Light. Jesus is a light path that the righteous walk from night to full day (Proverbs 4:18). For the Christian, the path of light is not an abstract spiritual enlightenment. It is simply that we follow Jesus who is the Light. His Light banishes our darkness and exposes sin. As we walk in the Light, He cleanses us. The cleansed enjoy fellowship with Light.
“If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:6-7 (NASB)
