Jesus won the victory for us in an unanticipated way and in an odd place. He won the victory by receiving in His own body the full weight of evil on the cross. It took Him to His grave; it looked like defeat. But His Father raised Him from the dead; at that moment we realize that He did indeed win the victory on the cross and God validated His own Son by raising Him; resurrection is a loud trumpet declaring to all Christ’s victory. How do I have victory? I have it by entering into His victory. My victory is found in Him. Jesus fought and won the big battle and He will help us in all of ours.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57 ESV).
