The divisions and factions of popular culture can work their way into the community of believers.  Satan rejoices!  A fractured church cannot speak with one voice to the world.  Paul said, “Live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” Rom 15:5b-6 (ESV).  The unity of the community of faith is no little thing with God.  We fight over sports and politics.  Leave outside the holy place the personal opinions over which we fight.  Divisions hinder worship.  It grieves the Spirit of Unity, robs us of power and hurts Christ’s cause.
