Jesus is on a mission of uniting Heaven and earth. He brought Heaven (God) to the earth in the incarnation. He took earth (Human) to Heaven in the ascension. He will bring the heavenly Jerusalem down to earth (Revelation 21). He is the Temple in which Heaven and earth are perfectly joined (John 1:14). He wants to unite all things in Heaven and earth (Ephesians 1:10). The church is the Temple of the New Israel open to Gentiles, “a house of prayer for all nations.” (Mark 11:17). We are to live our life on earth from the heavenly dimension. Our prayer is, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
