We usually have found that the greatest of life’s storms were not in the forecast. Crisis and chaos may come to us like an un-forecast tornado. It leaves us “torn up” with our lives left in disarray. The things that have been the normal pieces of our life are scattered about like so much storm debris. We are caught in something we would never have imagined. Our wave-battered boat is taking on water. But look! Is that not Jesus walking on the water approaching our little vessel?
When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:26-27 (NASB)
