People can do horrible things to each other. They can mean to hurt you; they may even try to destroy you. They can make you lose your job or make it miserable if you stay. They can slander your name with their tongue; they can kick you when your are down. Joseph found out that they could put you in a pit, fake your death and sell you as a slave, but God turned it all around. God is at work in the lives of those who love Him to make the wrath of men and devils who are against them to turn out for something good. Jesus submitted to injustice and saved the world. The world said, “Crucify Him” and the Father said, “Raise Him”. That same turn-around is at work in all of us. Never forget it! He changes despair to hope, death to life, and defeat to victory. He specializes in turning things around.
Joseph said to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God used it for good to save many people’s lives.” (Genesis 50:20).
