God does not have to try to love us. It is His nature. “God is love” (I John 4:9). This is what He wants to work in us, moving us from trying to being. When we have to try to love, we are not yet matured in love. He wants to create in us a new natural, where we do the right thing without trying, where love flows out of us because that is the person we have become. The Spirit is working to create this in us.
Lord, we were made in your image and likeness to be a loving being. We got turned in on ourselves and went astray. Oh Creator, restore us to love like You made us to love! Oh God of Love, restore us so that our love is spontaneous, intuitive and natural. Amen!
