Jesus said, “I have many things to say to you but you cannot bear it now” (John 16:12). There are times and places in our lives that we can’t hear what we may need to hear. Sometimes we look back on our lives and wish we could have heard something that we came to understand later; the reality is, we were not necessarily ready at that point in our journey to know. We needed a few more life experiences, a little more maturity, to get there. Now that the Spirit has come, He can keep us up to date in what we need to receive now.
“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” John 16:13 (NIV)
