Grief accompanies any significant loss. Grief is messy. Each one grieves in his or her own way. Yet, our grief is not unlike that which all grievers experience. The griever needs grace, support and patience. The griever needs to arrive at a place of acceptance and new hope. Grievers need those who will stand with them, listen to them and love them. Remember, Jesus is the “Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 55:3). We need to minister Him to the grieving, to be there with them and for them.
