When I fall down he picks me up. When I climb too high He brings me down. When I stray He comes looking for me. He assures me when I need His assurance. He gives careful instructions. He warns me of hidden dangers. He instructs me about the right path. He teaches me to follow Him. He corrects me when I need His correction. Even His chastisements are a comfort to me and tell me that I am loved.
And you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, Nor faint when you are reproved by Him; For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, And He scourges every son whom He receives.” Hebrews 12:5-6 (NASB)
