“Peter said to him, ‘You shall never wash my feet.’ Jesus answered him, ‘If I do not wash you, you have no share with me’” John 13:8 (ESV). The waters of baptism and the cleansing of the soul by the blood of Jesus speaks to this. Pride keeps us from the washing we need. We must have it for all of our uncleanness. We need to have sin’s stain washed away. Come to Christ! Be washed! Live under the stream that keeps us clean!
