All nations and kingdoms of this world are destined to become like the dust of “the summer threshing floors” (Dan 2:35). The Rock that crushes them will become a mountain that will fill the whole earth. Messiah’s Kingdom cannot be shaken. Wringing our hands over falling kingdoms is useless. We are citizens of the Unshakable Kingdom, and must not allow our faith to be shaken by all that is falling apart around us. We have built on the Rock!
At that time his voice shook the earth; but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heaven.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of what is shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe, Hebrews 12:26-28 (NRSV).
