In Heaven God’s kingship is fully acknowledged. It is the place where God and the Lamb sit on the throne. God’s will is done without resistance on the part of angels, elders and living creatures. All of Heaven bows to His rule. There is no rival king. There is no alternative government, no other kingdom. Get that firmly fixed in your mind and then pray, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Father, Your kingdom has an agenda like no other government of the world. Father, we confess that Jesus is Lord. Spirit, help us to live out the rugged implications of that in our lives. Amen!
