John Wimber, in “Spirit Song,” used the following words. “Oh, let him have the things that hold you, and his Spirit, like a dove, Will descend upon your life and make you whole.” We tend not to think about the things that hold us. We hold things or things hold us. If they hold us, then they hamper our spiritual growth. They keep us in cages when we were meant to fly. They hold us in dark caves where we cannot see the great vistas all around us. Let Jesus have the things that hold you and you can become whole and spiritually healthy.
