Influence is a great trust; it is such a very important part of our stewardship. Influence has the power to change lives, helping folks take that better fork in the road. It has the power to encourage or discourage, to inspire or depress, to incite hope or seal despair. Good influence is much needed. It is always involved in good parenting, mentoring, and discipling; it sows good seed. Guard it. Be careful what you say and do. Do not make anyone stumble. Influence toward Jesus, the positive, the good and the right.
Lord, we thank You for all the people in our lives that have influenced us toward the high road. May we be the kind of servants of Yours that encourage those around us to aspire to Your ways. Amen!
