The wise men had the star lead them only so far.  They sought more information and headed for Bethlehem.  They were not sure of the final point, but were fully in quest of the Christ child.  Then the star they had seen so long ago became a new and immediate guiding light.  The reappearing of the star is an encouragement to all who seek to find and follow Messiah.  The reappearing star is a grace gift to refine our journey and lead us all the way to the Lord.  You may walk awhile in the dark; you may travel when you are not sure how you will get there.  Be patient.  God is faithful.  The Spirit and the Father delight in leading you to the Son.

“After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. (Matthew 2:9 ESV).
