Our hearts and minds have been invaded by the spirit of this present age. We are conformed and not transformed. We have ceased to be salt and light. We reflect the culture more than we reflect the Christ. We have reshaped Christ to be of no offense to our lifestyles. We have muffled His radical words. We have put words of comfort in His mouth for our chosen ways of living. He is not our puppet! He is our Lord! Surrender all to His Lordship.
Father, enable us by Your Spirit to see the real Messiah. May we see Him as He is and not the way we want Him to be. May He free us from ourselves so that we can be His bond-slave. Amen!
