When you are lost you can get lots of bad advice. People who have never been there will tell you how to go. Some will tell you where you are, and their total misunderstanding will hurt your feelings. You need someone who truly knows you to give you direction. More than that, someone who truly loves you and really cares about what will happen to you in the end. You need the Shepherd, the very Spirit of the Shepherd living inside of you. He will guide you into “all the truth” (Jn 16:13). He brings you truth about yourself that you did not know. He brings you truth about God on which you can act.
