If the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Messiah, then we must realize that He is the Spirit of our King, the King of the Kingdom of God. He is the Messiah who is a servant and wants us to delight in serving. He is the humble Messiah who came among us incognito, without pomp and acrimony. He did not push Himself to the front of the line, elbowing others out of the way. The true Messiah does not have a messiah complex. He is not narcissistic. This Spirit is in us to promote Messiah’s Kingdom by living in Messiah ways. Living this way is counter intuitive. It is not glamorous, but it is His way. We can live like the Messiah if we have the Spirit of the Messiah in us.
