The spirit of antichrist is that which denies the incarnation; it is to deny that the eternal Christ came in the flesh of Jesus of Nazareth (1 John 4:2-3). It is to deny that there is a perfect oneness of Father and Son in Jesus Messiah. God the Father declared physical matter good in the creation, He reaffirmed it when His Son came in flesh. To call the physical world evil is an attack on the Creator. To believe that only the spiritual is good is a grave error. Science itself shows us that matter and energy are really one. This world is created and sustained by the Energy of God. The New Testament says that the Name of that “Energy” is Jesus Messiah. Jesus Messiah is the grand Mystery of the universe. If we have come to know Him, we have come to know the Father. If we embrace Him, we are embracing the Father. Now let us worship!
“By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already” (1 John 4:2-3 ESV). “Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also” (1 John 2:22-23 ESV).
